About me

Hi there!  I'm Kate and this is my new website.  I've had a blog for a few years now and recently discovered how great this website is, so I'm trying out a new location.  A little about me...I've been teaching in my first tenure-track faculty position since August 2007.  There have been some ups and downs, but in general it's a job I love.  Dubuque is also my home now and I anticipate that I'll be living here for a while.  I have a wonderful boyfriend, two adorable kitties, awesome friends, and a great family.  Life is good! In general, I'm pretty laid back, funny, and open minded. I love movies, cooking, takin' it easy with friends, drinking coffee, writing in my journal, traveling, beer, wine, and white russians, and karaoke. :) Hmmm...what else? I miss being close to friends who are far away, but it has been nice meeting new people and being closer to family. I think those are the basics. :)  This blog I'm sure will touch on all of those things at some point.  :)  Thanks for reading!!!!
